A renovação do currículo humanista por Erasmo de Rotterdam

Resumo

Este artigo investiga alguns dos princípios fundamentais da renovação pedagógica proposta por Erasmo, sobretudo a partir da publicação, em 1511, do De ratione studdi, um dos principais textos da Renascença a sintetizar os ideais humanistas, que por muito tempo influenciou a composição de diversos manuais educacionais. Premissas como a valorização da sagesse dos Antigos, o postulado da variatio e a liberdade criativa do aluno são questões fundamentais que perpassam a totalidade dos textos erasmianos dedicados à educação.

Renewing the humanist curriculum by Erasmo de Rotterdam

Abstract

This article investigates some of the fundamental principles of the pedagogic renovation proposed by Erasmus, above all from its publication, in 1511, of De ratione studdi, one of the main texts of the Renaissance to summarize the humanist ideals and that for a long time influenced the composition of several educational manuals. Premises as the increase in value of the sagesse of the Ancients, the postulate of the variatio and the creative freedom of the student are basic questions that pass over the totality of the texts by Erasmus dedicated to the education.
