O impacto do câncer na adolescência:contribuições da classe hospitalar no processo de enfrentamento

Resumo

O câncer na adolescência condensa em um grande emaranhado os fantasmas de um corpo em transformação, a inibição da sexualidade, a presença sombria da morte, a descoberta do mundo dos hospitais, o afastamento da família, dos amigos, dos objetos pessoais e da vida escolar. Frente a essa realidade, teve-se como objetivo neste artigo discutir, por meio de uma pesquisa bibliográfica, qual é o significado do abandono escolar para esses adolescentes. A pesquisa destaca que eles denunciam a escola, pois ela não entende o momento que estão vivenciando. A importância desse estudo encontra-se em demonstrar as contribuições que a classe hospitalar traz para esses adolescentes doentes, no processo de dar continuidade aos seus estudos escolares, a fim de que não percam seu curso, não se convertam em repetentes e não venham a interromper seus estudos. Busca-se, principalmente, mostrar que o trabalho da classe hospitalar é uma questão de respeito ao ser humano, à sua dignidade, à sua liberdade e aos seus inalienáveis direitos.

The impact of cancer on adolescents :contribuitions from the hospital school for the confrontation process

Abstract

Cancer in adolescents gathers the fear of a body in transformation, the inhibition of sexuality, the shadowy presence of death, the discovery of the hospitals world, as well as the absence of family, friends, and personal and school life. Facing this reality, this article uses bibliographical research to discuss the meaning of leaving school for those adolescents. The researchreinforces that adolescents denounce schools because these institutionsdo not understand what they have been experiencing. The importance ofthis study is to demonstrate the contributions that the hospital class bringsto these young patients, in the process of continuing their school studiesso that they do not fail in school, do not become repeaters and do notinterrupt their studies. This study aims at showing that the hospital classwork consists of respect for human beings, for their dignity, their freedom,and their inalienable rights.
