Inserção internacional de Universidades e valor percebido: uma análise em três instituições de ensino superior

Resumo

A internacionalização de universidades (IES) brasileiras tornou-se uma prática de políticas e programas de governos, instituições e sistemas acadêmicos. Esse fenômeno, por ser recente, possui poucos estudos realizados por acadêmicos brasileiros, principalmente considerando valor percebido na internacionalização das IES. Não há certeza, até o momento, se os estudantes atribuem valor às ações de internacionalização das IES. Com isso, o objetivo deste trabalho é analisar o valor percebido pelo aluno de graduação em relação à inserção internacional da universidade. O presente estudo foi conduzido através de dois métodos: Estudo de múltiplos casos com entrevistas de profundidade com coordenadores de internacionalização de três universidades do Rio Grande do Sul; Survey com 378 acadêmicos do curso de administração das mesmas universidades. A análise fatorial exploratória do survey permitiu discriminar os fatores e confirmar, na prática, seis categorias de valor percebido, sendo elas: interação social, ganhos acadêmicos, ganhos educacionais, qualidade, reputação e benefícios. Observou-se que há um nível de valor percebido por parte dos alunos quanto às atividades de internacionalização, corroborando com as evidências destacadas na base teórica. Os dados demonstram ainda que os serviços ofertados por meio das ações de internacionalização agregam valor à oferta universitária, favorecendo esse tipo de atividade pelas IES.
