Abstract

Currently there are many obstacles that prevent access to justice from being effective, among them we can highlight the procedural costs. Thus, the present theme is justified by the fact that it is extremely important that the financial obstacles to access to Justice are effectively eliminated. The present study will, therefore, have as a general objective to show the importance of ensuring access to Justice for individuals, especially the economically disadvantaged, and, as a specific objective, to expose how procedural costs are charged in the courts. Thus, through bibliographical research, as well as observing the methodological deductive criterion, the first chapter deals with the right to access to Justice. The second chapter deals more specifically with the current obstacles to the right to access to Justice. The third chapter, in turn, discusses procedural costs as an obstacle to access to Justice. In the end, the last chapter deals with the procedural costs charged by the country's courts.
