Abstract

The purpose of this research was to identify the motivational aspects that influence the engaging students in learning of the Technology College Course in Human Resource Management at Campus Sertãozinho of the Federal Institute of São Paulo (IFSP). To achieve this objective, the type of research used was qantitative research. Among the predominant motivations of respondents to attend the course’s classes are those related to the professional future, followed respectively by those alluding to the pleasure of acquiring new knowledge and those associated with self-efficacy. The main action indicated by the respondents in order to increase the motivation of the students of the course was the realization of more practical classes. The results presented in this research may assist in the planning of actions to avoid dropout of students of this course.
