Abstract

Among the possible areas of application of the Internet of Things (IoT), health care has great potential with numerous possibilities of applicability, especially with regard to the prevention of chronic diseases and the reduction of hospital infections - being one of the main aggravating factors in the quality of life of patients and the high costs of institutions. The goal of this work is to develop a digital manovacuometer that allows local measurement of airway pressure in patients in real-time using wireless communication and interface with mobile devices, enabling the storage of measurements in clouds. This device has a friendly interface, acquisition reliability, and reduced dimensions. Therefore, the data is available for analysis by specialized professionals remotely. The interface is developed in open source software to perform data collection and uses mobile devices that are a fundamental part of society.
