Cybermuseology: Interconection between museology and information and communication technologies

Abstract

The article raises suggestions on the influence of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) in the emergence of new interaction perspectives in exhibition environments that use digital means. Thus, a literature review and multiple case studies were carried out, based on authors of different areas such as Museology, Archiving, History and Communication, understanding that Cybermuseology may be in the intersection of Museology and other knowledge areas.

Author Biography

Monique Magaldi, Curso de graduação em Museologia da Universidade de Brasília

Doutora em Ciência da Informação pela Universidade de Brasília, mestra em Museologia e Patrimônio pela Universidade Federal do Estado do Rio de Janeiro e graduada em Museologia pela mesma universidade. Atualmente, é professora Adjunta no Curso de graduação em Museologia da Universidade de Brasília. É líder do grupo de pesquisa "Museologia Lab:Laboratório de Pesquisa em Cultura digital e Museologia Virtual”, da Universidade de Brasília; vice-líder do grupo de pesquisa "Museologia experimental e imagem (MEI)" da Universidade Federal do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (UniRio), e participante da linha de pesquisa 'Museologia, performance e imagem' no mesmo grupo.
