Abstract

This paper investigates the relationship between technology and photography. The theoretical reference is based on the ideas by Vilém Flusser. With the discussion about the practice of portrait and the snapshot, we show the technical limitations and the problems that they bring to universe of technical images.

Patricia Camera

Patricia Camera é Bacharel em Gravura (EMBAP - UNESPAR), Mestre em Tecnologia e Sociedade (UTFPR-PPGTE) e Doutora em História (PUCRS-PPGH). Lecionou para o curso de Artes na UFRGS e EMBAP. Dedicou-se ao estudo da fotografia no Salão Paranaense e na Bienal de Artes do Mercosul. Atualmente pesquisa o acervo Foto Bianchi na Casa da Memória Paraná.
