Under the scientific direction of Catherine Bertho Lavenir (Sorbonne Nouvelle) and Philippe Dubé (Université Laval), this exhibition was created by a group of artists and museography professionals, with the direct contribution of Museology Masters students. It was an experimental exhibition based on the EXPOLAB of LAMIC (Museology and Culture Engineering Laboratory of Université Laval/Québec/Canada). The event organisers offered a rare opportunity to experience the travel journals of Anne-Marie Palardy, located in the Sagamie Archives in Saguenay (J.-E.-A. Duboc-Anne-Marie Palardy fonds muséal) and in the fonds muséal of the family Duboc, located in Pulperie de Chicoutimi. The final product was an exhibition in a highly technical room (EXPOLAB) with an area of 100 square metres which could receive a certain number of visitors in a certain time. This event is part of a formation process of patrimony valorisation (here, written archives) through means offered by today’s digital technology in the field of culture. Museology will have to deal with these new patrimonies and will need to find original means to valorise them. This experimental realisation allows the visitor to explore new ways which a museum does not always have time to do.Downloads
