D. Antonio Mazzarotto was the first bishop of the Diocese of Ponta Grossa-PR whose episcopate lasted between 1965 and 1930. His pastoral letters, published every February 23th, meant to spread the program of the Catholic Restoration in the diocese. In his discursive practices he used the reflection for more than one hundred sacred writers: Doctors and Fathers of the Church, Saints, theologians, some few women and others. Exemplary Bishop and inserted in a particular spiritual tradition, his discursive representations make explicit both the influence of the formation and the senses of the message announced.
