It displays some results from a research conducted in 2006 for means the thesis on the iconography related to the theme of Death and Beyond depicted by religious mural paintings in the central region of Rio Grande do Sul along the twentieth century. Delimited by the images cycle related to events that take place after the Crucifixion of Christ, this article develops a descriptive visual approach by reference to the Louis Réau studies to draw up a comparative overview of ways in which certain pictorial Christian's reference were interpreted or taken up to constitute the catholic iconographic repertoire in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.Downloads
