Many papers have already pointed out several Exus' features and action possibilities in Brazilian religious field; however, while observing practices in terreiros throughout Brazil, as well as ritual glyphs and naming of these Exus, it is possible to notice innumerous remaining gaps. We have analyzed more than three hundred ritual glyphs and names given to Exus, and, therewith, we perceived the dynamics presented by such emblematic personages in the pantheon of afro-Brazilian religions, especially of Umbanda, as far as their powers and abilities are concerned.Downloads
