The article identifies the objectives, methodologies and results of the research project Canoas – to Remember Who We Are, developed by Unilasalle since 1994. It tries to place the initiative on social dialogue subject by the scope of historical knowledge, especially public history. By publishing books about Canoas' neighborhoods, this project contributes with the local history propagation, delivering quality works intended to community.
