The Museu Nacional de Arte Antiga – MNAA, reference institution in Portugal, staged two major repercussions media initiatives in the 2015/2016 period. The cultural diffusion projectentitledComingOut – And if the museumleave the street?and public subscriptionLet's put Sequeira in the right place, for the acquisition of important work of the portugueseDomingosSequeira (1768-1837), marked the agenda of the period, opening an opportune space for reflection, especiallywith the general public, on topicssuch as "cultural policies in the public sphere", "cultural diffusion", "patronage" and especially the fundamental question of visibility of public museum institutions in the economic and institutionalcrisis times.
