As a reference document in the field of Conservation and Restoration, the Chart of Venice (1964) leaded to the creation of the ICOMOS and updated the discussions in the field of patrimonial studies. In this paper, the Chart of Venice is placed in its context and presented throug reading notes enlarging and updating the discussion in its epistemological, conceptual, historical, politic e technical aspects. The original sequence of paragraphs is followed, in the form os a reading guide. The main goal is to enrich the discussion in classes in the disciplines correlated, in the artistic and patrimonial fields, envolving Anthropology, Archaeology, Archivology, Conservation and Restoration, History, History of Art, Law, Museology, Tourism and connected areas.Downloads
