Abstract

This text is organized with the intention of presenting a summary of the main reflections and conclusions which involved conducting a historical research on the urban city of Canoas/RS, between the years 1929 and 1959. To implement this purpose, shares are a text-routing, by which the methods and the specific points of the construction of the research are contemplated, as their sources of study and theoretical-methodological. The research finds its justification in the supply gap for the study of metropolitan cities in Brazil.
