The main objective of this article is to discuss some perspectives and interfaces of memory in the construction of testimonies from the Report of the National Commission of Truth. The initial perspective is to establish a construct about memory in the present time, with concepts that demonstrate us how the theoretical and methodological question can be essencial for the construction of knowledge. In a second moment, showing how the constructions of the testimonies are important to clarify the applicability of memory. The discussions established between the parties are complementary and interconnected, since we understand that a theoretical perspective is fundamental and posteriorly applied in case studies. The parties are complemented in an attempt to build a social memory for the realization of human rights.
