Intangible cultural heritage policy in Brittany (France): analysis and issues

This article aims to analyze how the implementation of the policy for intangible cultural heritage in Brittany (France) promotes the promotion of cultural diversity in this region. The analysis will focus on two cultural associations promoting and disseminating cultural material and diversity, across the five departments of the Brittany region: the Brittany Culture Diversity Association (BCD) and the Dastum association. The article presented envisages tackling certain cultural issues present in the Brittany region in France today and the role of intangible cultural heritage (ICH) as providing a sense of identity and continuity, a driving force for cultural diversity and the guarantor of sustainable development.Downloads
