Mercosul Biennial of Visual Arts is an international contemporary art exhibition that has taken place in Porto Alegre, the capital city of Rio Grande do Sul, since 1997. To try to understand what the dialogue between the parties was like as well as the exchange of experience, the inter-organizational relations and sharing between partnerships established while holding Mercosul Biennial, this research study aims to analyze how the inter-organizational practices of sharing memory and knowledge about Mercosul Biennial occurred. In this study, the methodology chosen was a case study and data were collected with documentary research and narrative interviews. Data collection used documentary research and narrative interviews as the main sources. To compose data analysis, we used content analysis and, for this purpose, we included categories of analysis, based on theoretical synthesis. The results of this study show that, there is, indeed, much sharing of both memory and knowledge. However, the management of this knowledge has little objectivity, which demonstrates information loss and, in some cases, rework and mismatches.Downloads
