Memory itineraries: the city and its cultural heritage in the tourist narrative

Abstract

Analyze the tourist narrative and the information about the places, monuments, architectural spaces and events of Porto Alegre reproduced during the route carried out by the Históric Tourism Line. Qualitative research conducted in 2018 that uses as methods narratology and participant observation. Historical and unique information about the neighborhoods, the characters, the streets, the squares, the monuments, among other historical and cultural attractions of the city are divulged. It is concluded that the Historic Touristic Line assists in the construction of a memory itinerary about Porto Alegre and the tourist narratives conveyed about the city make their cultural heritage visible.
