The Cinemas of Mercosur are not self-sufficient industries and remain thanks to the funding and incentive policies, which most often occur through the realization of co-productions. And beyond the difficulties (of production, distribution and exhibition), these movies have to compete with hollywoodian productions that dominate the cinema markets in the region and viewer’s imaginary. The objective of this paper is, then, to discuss the impact of these incentive policies in the development of national cinemas of the region.Downloads
