Abstract

Caminhos de Pedra de Bento Gonçalves is formed by the identity, culture and architectural heritage of Italian immigrants who arrived in Rio Grande do Sul and settled in Bento Gonçalves. The question proposed in this work is the cultural identity of the descendants of Italian immigrants from Caminhos de Pedra Tourist Itinerary, presented through a bibliographic research on how this identity is formed and preserved. The identity, as well as the culture, is formed by the origin of the people, by the traditions, values and beliefs, as it can be seen through the architecture of its buildings, its products and services to visitors, expressing and showing all the traditions and customs acquired by their ancestors. Today, the route is a reference in the rescue and preservation of Italian culture, which presents several remarkable points of its identity.
