The aim of this study was to estimate the thermal comfort in surrounding of two places with different land uses in the of city Cuiabá, Mato Grosso, through Temperature and Humidity Index (THI). Data was obtained on fixed weather stations in two representative months of regional seasonality, in 2011. The percentage of occupation and land use were evaluated with the use of Google Earth images and calculated in ArcGIS 9.3. The validation of the statistical analysis was through Bootstrap with a total of 5000 resamplings. The results showed the predominance of days "slightly uncomfortable" in March and, "extremely uncomfortable" in September, with strong correlation and determination of the air temperature and the index. It was concluded with the estimate of the predominance of thermal discomfort surrounding the places, not showing the influence of the differentiation of land use in best thermal comfort conditions in this period.
