The concern in planning a sustainable occupation and the use of the coastal soil is relatively recent in Pernambuco and was based on global assessments, which found that this is an intensely vulnerable area to human interventions. The evolution of the coastline represents a serious problem that affects almost the entire coast of the state of Pernambuco, which has made it complex to predict its protection. The article aims to characterize the dynamics and evolution of the Praia de Candeias in order to propose mitigation options to the outbreaks of environmental degradation in the area. Summary considerations were presented to the causes (actions) and effects (impacts) that on certain factors (physical, biotic, perceptual and socioeconomic) produced in the coastal area investigated, as well as identification and development, using the Gomez ideas (1994) and Leopold (1994), with the methodology Matrix of impact evaluation modified by Oliveira (1998). We conclude that the set of proposed actions, if implemented, want the coast of Jaboatão dos Guararapes, to recover part of their primitive nature, considering the obtained research analysis.
