Abstract

The inventories of specimens are important in the elaboration of management plans in conservation units, directing better the strategies and actions of protection to the fauna. This study aimed to know the richness and composition of the anurofauna of an urban forest fragment: Estação Ecológica de Caétes (ESEC), municipality of Paulista, Pernambuco, Brazil. In 2010 and 2014, field trips were carried out using the active and sonorous search in the border and interior of the fragment, mainly in the body of water. A total of 38 specimens of anuran amphibians, distributed among seven families, were registered for the ESEC. Within the 38 specimens, six specimens are threatened according to the lists of endangered specimens (international, national and state). The amphibian richness recorded in this study represents approximately 13% of the total specimens estimated for the Atlantic Forest and 63% correspond to the total number of species for the Atlantic Forest of Pernambuco, Brazil.
