Cephalotes atratus (Hymnoptera: Formicidae) occurrence in a Leptodactylus vastus carcass in the Northeast of Brazil

Few studies highlight the fauna of insects that inhabit wild animals corpses, however, the ants are considered an important taxon in the cadaveric colonization. We present the first record of Cephalotes atratus individuals feeding on the corpse of a just deceased Leptodactylus vastus, endemic anuran amphibian from South America.
