Abstract

The Guajuviras neighborhood, located in the municipality of Canoas-RS is represented as of the occupation processes and in the differentiation among Sectors and Villages. The young prominent actors in the imaginary of the contemporary city appropriate themselves with the existing representations reproducing them and/or recreating them. Thus this analysis starts from the practices and representations of young residents in Guajuviras, in readings that highlight the permanence and ruptures of senses in the Neighborhood Life of these young people.

Nola Patrícia Gamalho, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul

Licenciada e Bacharel em Geografia pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul. Mestre e doutoranda pela mesma universidade. A pesquisa de doutorado aborda a produção do espaço e representações do bairro Guajuviras a partir dos Jovens e suas práticas socioespaciais.
