Heritage education and anthropological mediation

The heritage education is today an institutionalized theme by IPHAN, being the academic production on the growing issue last years. Added to this, the initiatives within national and international policies that significantly broadened the sense of cultural heritage and education (such as teaching-learning) beyond the realms of living-class and objects of "stone and limeâ€. Although anthropology occupies a prominent place in studies of cultural heritage currently the subject of heritage education is still relatively far from the anthropological reflections. This paper analyzes the important of heritage education in Brazilian contemporary scene and the possible of anthropology for this "field" boiling.
