When working with the field of memory in dispute scenarios, we realize that there are several slots for its reconstruction and performance, which can be activated through different paths and agents. In this article, we will work on the field of memory in dialogue with literature and cinema, more in detail through the genre that has come to be called the Literature of Testimony and its imbrications. That said, we have as research object the analysis of the works of Fernando Gabeira and Frei Betto, respectively the books, O que é isso companheiro? (1982) and the Batismo de sangue (2006) and, later, their filmic transpositions, having as main objective to examine the construction of the memory of resistance and its uses through the sources of the Literature of the Testimony contained in these works. For methodological purposes, this will be a qualitative work, based on a literature review on the subject; likewise, we will carry out content analysis of the films listed in the work’s corpus. As a result of research, we concluded that the Testimony Literature in communion with other media served, in fact, as a guarantor of a collective memory of a group that fought against the civil-military dictatorship, being, therefore, an active voice in the struggle for truth and justice.Downloads
