On the basis of market competition, companies seek innovation and improvement of their production processes, remaining operative and competitive. In a manufacturing company the best customer service implies decrease production lead time, meeting the client within the agreed time and in the specified product quality. In this context, this study describes the use of Programming and Production Sequencing of the assembly line of an industry - Road Equipment, describing the steps that were taken to implement this new process, and the necessary actions and indicators for operation management. Forms of production sequencing and applied on the assembly line, for a better use of resources and improved efficiency were also studied. The methodology applied is in a qualitative, descriptive research with the scope on a case study. As a result, a better organization of the production line is presented, a better use of available resources with definitions and methods established, production scheduling improves the flow of supply and consequently a better organization of other sectors of the company.Downloads
