Entrepreneurship in a dimension of solidary economy: a theoretical review

Abstract

Formation of organizations in the context of Solidarity Economy has been encouraged in Brazil. The organizations in this context present specificities, as self-management and cooperation. These specificities, sometimes, are not present in other types of organizations, which are in generally study object in Management. In this sense, this paper aims to present some concepts which are the base of the understanding regarding to the singularities of this type of organization, and an analysis on entrepreneurship in this field of study. A review of literature regarding to Solidarity Economy and Entrepreneurship was also conducted. The main results suggests the use of strategies and tools of Management in these formats of organizations, although considering their peculiarities. This observation conduct to opportunities of interdisciplinary studies in areas as Management, Economics and Sociology.

Possui graduação em Engenharia de Produção pela Universidade do Vale do Rio dos Sinos (2001), mestrado acadêmico em Engenharia de Produção pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (2004) e atualmente cursa o doutorado em Administração pela Universidade do Vale do Rio dos Sinos. É professora do Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia do Rio Grande do Sul. Pesquisadora nas áreas de Redes Sociais, Redes de Cooperação e Logística.
