Abstract

Higher education expansion and labor market changes in the in recent years have created a new context for the professional insertion in Brazil. To expand this argument, this article aims to reflect about the disarticulation between the programs of higher education expansion and public policies regarding the professional insertion of young people in Brazil. The literature review indicates the necessity of further studies on the impact of the higher education expansion in the professional insertion of young people, seeking to understand how the process of entering the labor market occurs in different courses, social groups and for participants in public policies. Furthermore, this article proposes a research agenda to broaden this discussion and contribute to the inclusion of specific programs for the professional insertion of young undergraduate students in agenda of public policies.
