Innovation in ergonomics, absenteeism and risk in manual load lifting

The worry with the illnesses in this sector, that generate absenteeism at work, may impulse innovations of the process and organizational in ergonomics to a distinguished level. This can occur regulated by the responsibility of the organizations, in benefit of the human relationships at work anchored in regulatory norms which confirm the necessity of improvement in environments of load lifting. In this context, this study aims to analyze the relations between innovations in ergonomics, absenteeism, and risk in the load lifting in six business units of the agroindustry. Regarding the methodology, this can be considered a study case, a qualitative research of exploratory character in order to identify the innovations of the process and organizational and the perception of the managers regarding the load lifting activities, risk, and absenteeism. As the main results of the study can be evidenced that the researched organizations have in their processes of management the involvement of the workers, as well as innovations that contribute to their performance and human relations at work. All the benefits presented are important elements to both companies and employees.
