This study seeks to analyze how people with (and without) disabilities in João Pessoa-PB realize the policies and practices of performance assessment. Therefore, a survey was conducted. The research was conducted with people with and without disabilities, working and living in João Pessoa-PB. In total, 90 people participated, 45 disabled and 45 non-disabled. For the subjects’ choice, the snowball technique was applied. The questionnaire was administered mostly in person and was also made available through the Google Docs system, by the Internet. Data analysis was conducted in the SPSS, by factor analysis, analysis of variance (ANOVA), nonparametric test, Kruskal-Wallis and the median. The results demonstrate that people with disabilities do not perceive particularities in the policies and practices of performance evaluation in their work environment, compared to people without disabilities.
