Abstract

This article has as purpose to present a work experience of the team of the project Subjects in action: income generation and citizenship, implemented by the Technosocial/Unilasalle and supported by the Caixa Econômica Federal.  It is a  proposal that aims at providing better working conditions, social development and increase the income generation in two enterprises of solidarity economy of Canoas/RS: The Sol Nascente Cooperative of Solid Residues Recyclers – the Coopersol and the União Faz a Força Cooperative of Selective Collection – and the Coopermag. Initially, we briefly describe the project and the work developed by the Technosocial. Then, we present the scenario of the communities emphasizing the challenges faced by the groups, as well as their expectations and dreams. Finally, we argue as of a methodological proposal that seeks to supplant the dualism among educators and students and, in the same way, set up dialogically strategies to overcome extreme poverty, focusing the income increase of the enterprises and, consequently, the workers’ quality of life improvement of the recycling cooperatives.
