In most cases, the scope of Technical Standards is to seek to offer standards and NBR 15965 - Construction Information Classification System corroborates this objective. This standard is composed of codes with the purpose of facilitating communication between operating systems. However, there is a lack of knowledge about its importance and a lack of understanding of its structure. This research sought a system to organize and make this classification understood, starting the research through interviews, analyzing the use of BIM in three construction companies in Chapecó-SC. Given the context found in the research, it was highlighted that no company uses the classification. A scope statement was then produced, which served to define the restrictions and the creation of an analytical structure of the project-WBS, with the objective of creating a hierarchical composition. To demonstrate its use, a room was modeled, where it was possible to code the BIM objects. The contribution of the research was the creation of an EAP for the organization of the Construction Information Classification, using the NBR 15965, for use by civil construction companies. The main benefits, using the classification, is to offer standardized terms, with unequivocal interpretations, expanding the possibilities of using this Technical Standard, in an operational way, as in the presented case.References
