It presents part of the documentary production of this institution preserved by its former students. The memorial records include various documents such as: letters, invitations, minutes of meetings, books, photographs, objects and the periodic Bulletin published by the Association. The study was carried out in Porto Alegre/RS during the second half of 2020. It consists of a qualitative research that uses the interview and document analysis of the Association as a data collection technique. Based on the analysis of the documentary production and the narratives of the associates, the main memory products were identified, which allow former students to activate their memories about the Instituto de Educação General Flores da Cunha and their participation in the Association. It is concluded that the products of institutional memory constitute the Association's memory collection and its preservation helps in the construction and strengthening of the group's identity.References
