Abstract

This technical report aims to seek a decision as close to the ideal as possible for a decision-making process about outsourcing or owning the fleet of a medium-sized company in the tire management business in the western region of Santa Catarina. The methodology adopted sought, through documentary research and business experience, to analyze the existing alternatives for reducing costs for the company's fleet. Based on the map of the possible outcomes of a series of related choices (Decision Tree Method), propose a decision-making model that favors the best possible alternative. Through the analyzed results, it was noticed that the best alternative for the company is the outsourcing of the fleet, in which it has less responsibility for vehicle management and reduced operating costs.
