Abstract

Objective: to report the experience of a training course for caregivers of the elderly, developed at the discipline of Health Education and Educational Contexts. The course discussed the importance of promoting the best performance of the students of master professional, providing the implementation of a project in order to enable students for the labor market.

Methods: This is an experience report conducted by students of the Master in Health in Human Development from a private institution in Canoas, RS.

Results: The strategies used during the classes were: lectures, using material resources; audiovisual computers; Power Point; dummy for cardiopulmonary resuscitation; and videos addressing the issues listed in the schedule of the instructions.

Final thoughts: The classes facilitate the understanding of the students, and set up a practice space, reflection, interaction, exchange of experiences with master instructions and also turned to the training and placement in the labor market in the community.
