Abstract

It is understood that all people who come to a health facility must have a recognized need and get an immediate response to their situation, which is still to come in the form of guidance. This article aims to investigate the perceptions of professionals about the care process to the relatives in Emergency Hospital in the metropolitan region of Porto Alegre. It is a qualitative research conducted through interviews with 15 professionals. Data were developed according to Minayo content analysis technique, the categories found on humanization, welcoming, family relationships. The results show that the professionals need to acknowledge the reception as an instrument to restructure and redefine health care to families in Hospital Hospital Emergency.
