Body Composition and Anthropometric Data of Military Policies of the Shell Battalion of the State of Ceará

This study aims to analyze the profile anthropometric and body composition of the military police of the State of Ceará riot. The study is descriptive and cross-sectional with quantitative approach. The sample consisted of 25 police male with a mean age of 36.28 ± 6.35 years. The taper had its average index of 1.20 ± 0.06 with a minimum of 1.07 and a maximum of 1.3. Body mass index had its average of 28.73 ± 2.37 with a minimum of 24.93 and a maximum of 35.86. The waist height had a mean of 0.54 ± 0.06 with minimum 0.44 and maximum 0.62. The waist to hip ratio had a mean of 0.91 ± 0.06 with minimum 0.79 and maximum 1.02. Waist circumference had a mean 91.64 ± 5.85 with a minimum of 79 and maximum of 102.5. The circumference of the abdomen had a mean of 96.24 ± 5.75 with a minimum of 83 and maximum of 109. The percentage of fat had an average of 26.27 ± 4.91% with a minimum of 17.25% and a maximum of 34.52%. The fat had a weight average of 21.98 ± 5.15 kg at the minimum and maximum 13,52kg 31,42kg. Already muscle weight averaged 29.24 ± 4,44kg with minimal 21,28kg and maximum 39,5kg. It can be concluded that the presence of a body composition that is within the standards for the military exercise does not occur in the State of Ceará Shock Battalion. The results obtained indicate that there should be a program to encourage the military police regarding the care of their food and the effective practice exercises for the purpose of that excellent standards of body composition are achieved thus improving the quality of life of the study participants as well as the functions performed by the Ceará riot.
