Interventions for Food and Nutrition Education in preschoolers at an EMEI in the municipality of Maratá, RS

Objective: The present work aims to demonstrate the report of the experience lived in Food and Nutrition Education (EAN), where interventions were carried out with children aged two to three years in a School of Early Childhood Education, in the city of Maratá, RS, and aimed to main incentive to adequate and healthy food, with the inclusion of fruits and vegetables and the appreciation of family meals.
Description: Given this, four interventions were carried out: food theater; visit of Nutri Urso to the students’ home; playing with the fruits; and culinary workshop. The interventions had great acceptance and active participation, both by students and parents. It was possible to observe the great interest and curiosity of the children in knowing the foods and tasting them. It is concluded that the interventions and practices on food and nutrition education were positive, working to improve the food choices of the proposed class and being able to contribute and structure healthier habits for adult life.
