Biopolítica na Educação

Resumo

O artigo visa a discutir a biopolítica na educação contemporânea, a partir da análise do curso Nascimento da biopolítica, ministrado por Michel Foucault no Collège de France. Inicialmente, apresenta-se, de forma geral, o curso e, num segundo momento, defende-se que a biopolítica (política da vida), núcleo geral da obra, só pode ser efetivada quando se entende esse regime geral, essa razão governamental da questão da verdade econômica a que Foucault vai chamar de liberalismo. Por fim, conclui-se que a biopolítica é um governo dos vivos que estará muito mais próxima do poder pastoral do que da soberania. Ela buscará a salvação da alma, não no sentido religioso do termo, mas na própria vida terrena e na relação entre os homens e as coisas. Assim, a análise histórica ajuda-nos a compreender o momento em que nos encontramos, principalmente no cenário educacional.

Abstract: The paper discusses contemporary biopolitics in education, from the analysis of The Birth of Biopolitics, taught by Michel Foucault at the Collège de France. Initially, it appears, overall, the course and, secondly, it is argued that biopolitics (political life), general core of the work can only be accomplished if you understand this general scheme, the governmental ratio of the question of economic truth that Foucault will call liberalism. Finally, we conclude that biopolitics is a government that will be living much closer of the pastoral power than sovereignty. It will seek the salvation of the soul, not in the religious sense of the term, but in the earthly life and the relationship between men and things. Thus, the historical analysis helps us to understand the moment we are right now, especially in the educational setting.
