Museum communication: the origins of the gap between museum and society

This article aims to point to the main theoretical frameworks of communication area, in order to understand some of the historical roots of the patent gap between museum and society. For this purpose we trace a brief history of museum institutions, to analyze the main vectors that guide the communicative relationships between museum and society over time. Also, we sought through the compiled theoretical framework, argue some possible ways to shorten the distance between these two universes.Downloads
