Higher education in the period from 1995 to 2010: new scenarios from governance

This article aims to reflect on governance in higher education and has the general objective to demonstrate through statistical data the admission of students and the increase in enrollment, from 1995 to 2010. This period was selected to highlight the changes in globalization scenario in Brazil and also due to the development of new programs that have been linked to higher education. It was used methodologically the database of the National Institute of Educational Studies Teixeira (INEP) to develop a quantitative and descriptive study using secondary data. It can be considered finally that according to data presented to the governance of the area coupled with the investments and institutional arrangements in higher education management system were very expressive.
