Influences of the quality of working life and motivation in a Santa Catarina company

When the company works for the quality of life of its employees, it is inevitable that a favorable organizational climate and greater commitment from all parties will be obtained. This research aims to evaluate the quality of working life of workers of a company and to identify the main variables that may present an association with the motivation of the professionals of an electric whip company located in the north of the state of Santa Catarina. For this, the following questionnaires were carried out: economic partner and the Quality of Working Life Questionnarie -Bref. The questionnaires were applied between August and October 2018. Consequently, five variables were verified relating the odds to the motivation factor. They were statistically treated using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS), version 21.0. Based on the results obtained with the research, it was possible to perceive that certain points have potential for improvement, being the most clear example the relationship between leaders and subordinates, especially with regard to equal treatment among them. The study suggests that the married worker and the man who performs physical activity 1 or 2 times a week presents chances of greater motivation at work (OR = 1.22, 95% CI 1.09-1.48) and (OR = 2, 49, 95% CI 1.27-10.4) respectively, (p <0.05).
