Innovation still remains one of the challenges for organizations, since different factors influence the development of innovative capacity. Considering the role of leadership in innovation scenarios, this research seeks to understand how the academic literature observes female leadership and its relationship with innovative capacity in organizations. In addition, it also analyzes how research addresses differences in leader performance, considering different genders. For this understanding, a systematic literature review - RSL was carried out, considering articles published from the year 2000 onwards. The initial assumption of the research is that some factors influence the lower representation of female leadership in innovation scenarios. As main results, it was concluded that there are no significant differences in leadership practice, considering men and women in innovation scenarios, but differences in opportunities. On the other hand, results indicate that diversity favors and expands organizational innovations, thus being an opportunity for companies to encourage joint work in leading innovation initiatives.References
