The administration course, through its curricular matrix, which aims to generate management skills and abilities in its graduates, among them, entrepreneurship, can generate an entrepreneurial motivation or intention, which translates into the behavior of graduates oriented towards opening Business. Thus, the objective of this study is to find out what are the predictors of the entrepreneurial intention of Business Administration students from a private HEI in São Luís do Maranhão according to the Theory of Planned Behavior, a derivation of the Theory of Rational Action. To achieve this objective, a case study was carried out in a private HEI where 101 students from the 1st to the 8th period of the Business Administration course participated. For the statistical analysis of this article, the IBM SPSS Statistics software was used, with calculations of relative frequency and the correlation test between the variables indicating the p-value to identify statistical significance. The results indicate that the motivational variable (reasons for engagement, entrepreneurial career, subjective norm and university environment) is more strongly related to entrepreneurial intention, that is, the more positive the students' motives in relation to entrepreneurship, the stronger the your intention to pursue this career.References
