This article aims to analyze the performance of the IFRN regarding the promotion of informational transparency in its electronic portal, in view of the legal requirements for proactive disclosure of data and information of a public nature to society. The methodological strategy of case study was adopted, with the use of documentary research procedures and secondary data collection in the electronic portal of the IFRN. As instruments for data collection, a checklist was used to guide navigation on the portal and for sending a request for access to information to the IFRN, via the Citizen Information System (SIC). In view of the results obtained, it was concluded that, due to the occurrence of some absences or nonconformities of information identified through the empirical study, the requirements provided for in the Brazilian legal system that refer to the promotion of active transparency are not observed in their entirety by the IFRN. However, institutional action, in most of the aspects evaluated in the research, was in compliance with the legal dictates that require the proactive disclosure of public information, notably those provided for in the Law on Access to Information (LAI) and its regulatory decree.Downloads
