About the Journal

Focus and Scope

Diálogo Journal is characterized by encouraging interdisciplinary debates in the applied human and social areas. It accepts only unpublished articles that problematizing and / or understanding social issues in different contexts and from different theoretical approaches.

The journal accepts continuous flow works and eventually has calls for thematic dossiers. The submissions in continuous flow should be framed in one of the following sections:

Condition and Human Formation in Contemporaneity

Studies about aspects of the contemporary human condition, highlighting both theoretical issues and empirical research on current issues of social organization. Topics in this context include the world of work; schooling; non-formal education; promotion and defense of human rights; and proposition and management of public policies.

Gender Studies

Interdisciplinary research on themes related to gender and feminist approaches. It includes studies about feminist women and LGBTQI +; gender and culture; politics and identities; body and sexuality; social and sexual division of labor; productive and reproductive work; gender, race and class; harassment, rape culture and sexual violence; and public politics.

•Cultural Mediation

 Cultural mediation as decoding of several knowledge areas in artistic-cultural productions, considering that through this exercise, the pedagogical action integrated to culture and the production of different knowledges are possible. It includes, among others, thematic about educational services on cultural mediation institutions held in exhibition spaces; It includes, among others, educational services on institutions of cultural mediation in exhibition spaces; management activities and actions activities in cultural policies; and public and private initiatives to promote accessibility.

The publication is exclusively digital and the numbers have a quarterly periodicity. The texts presented for the evaluation must be original and complete. Once published, neither the institution nor the publishers were published. It is important to have a fee for submitting or posting articles received.

Peer Review Process

The journal Diálogo adopts the method of blind review to evaluate papers. Firstly, the author’s identification is unknown to the reviewers. There are at minimum two expert reviewers for each paper, who submit merit ratings ad doc. Papers that are approved by two reviewers minimum are published. However, if a paper needs modifications, it will be re-reviewed by the editors or original reviewers to certify that adequate changes have been made for publication.

Publication Frequency

Revista Diálogo is of ongoing flow and issued every four months.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that scientific production freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
